The “Sky Happiness” Wins Air Mauritius Cocktail Contest
Air Mauritius is the national aviation company of the Republic of Mauritius. It offers regional and international services.
In order to create a successful advertising campaign and promote the DNA of the firm, Air Mauritius took the decision to launch a cocktail contest with the goal to choose their own “signature cocktail”.
The competition took place on August 10th. The participating bartenders could only use local ingredients from the island and demonstrate an advanced knowledge in mixology.
Out of the 10 finalists, the winning bartender was Emmanuel Salmine with his “Sky Happiness“. His prize included two roundtrip tickets to Paris.
The decision was taken by a jury composed by the Food and Beverage Coordinator, the Training Officer of the Hotel School Sir Gaëtan Duval and the consultant of the Vatel Mauritius School.
The new “Sky Happiness” will be served in the Amedée Maingard lounge room and for all business class passengers departing from Mauritius.
On the other hand, Dharamdev Samoburthia won second place with his “Currycocotini” cocktail and third place was given to Roshun Nehru with his “High Flyer Delight”.
Don’t drink and drive. Enjoy responsibly.
