The Peninsula Paris joins the fight against breast cancer
October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month – also called Pink October. For the occasion, the Parisian 5-star hotel Peninsula decided to show its support of the fight against cancer.
It will be launching a program called “Peninsula in Pink” for the whole month of October. The goal: to raise as much money as possible for the association Europa Donna France, which plans on helping out women with breast cancer to access better quality treatments.
To achieve this goal, the Peninsula Paris will be organizing “pink afternoon teas”, offering pink versions of its most famous desserts, along with rosé Champagne. Also, the chef and barman Matthieu Le Feuvrier came up with a cocktail for the occasion: the Gin n’Roses, mixing gin, rose liqueur, lime juice, bitter cherry, pepper, sparkling sake as well as rose leaves.
Also, for each night booked at the Peninsula during this period, a part of the benefits will be donated to Europa Donna France.
Who knew drinking Champagne and gin could serve such a good cause? The upcoming month of October is the perfect occasion to treat yourself while showing support to women in need. Last year, 59 000 women were diagnosed with breast cancer in France. Let’s keep fighting!
Don’t drink and drive. Enjoy responsibly.
