A lot of five rare cognac bottles at auction starting this weekend

On January 31 five cognac will be on auction, and belongs to the private collection of Jacques Hardy, descendant of the founder of the Hardy house.
Whisky.Auction announced that “five rare bottles dating from 1777, 182, 1812, 196 and 1914 will be auctioned this January 31“. Included in the sale are several bottles from the 19th century. Hardy’s bottles, are Grande Champagne cognac, which are characterized by features with floral dominance, vine blossom, dried lime, dried vine shoots.
The lot of bottles is part of the private collection of Jacques Hardy, former general manager of the maison Hardy, and descendant of Anthony Hardy, British gentleman founder of the cognac house in 1863. A traditional family that serves cognac of great finesse and the finest eaux-de-vie.
The five bottles are out of the ordinary. The bottles include a “a certificate of authenticity”. Whisky.Auction states that the history of the bottles comes “very well documented” and “sold by the current owner who had bought them directly from Jacques Hardy in 2003“.
The initial bid price is £5. Whisky. Auction expects prices to increase rapidly reaching very high prices before the closing of the auctions.
