25 million pounds for Scottish distillery Isle of Arran
The Scottish whisky distillery Isle of Arran received a financing package thanks to a programme from Barclays Bank.
For the Scottish distillery opened in June, it is an opportunity to develop its second distillery on the island of Arran. This is important news for both the distillery and the island. In fact, the company revived the tradition of whisky distillation in Arran.
General Manager Euan Mitchell explains that this is a very exciting time for the company. “With the re-branding of our single malt Arran, and the opening of the distillery in Lagg, the year has been busy and our change and expansion has come first in our minds“.
In addition, Barclays Bank also spoke through Jamie Grant, Barclays corporate banking director in Scotland. “Isle of Arran Distillers is a perfect example of a business that harnesses the power of Scottish origin, contributing to the global success of our food and beverage industry.”
“We have made a significant commitment to the whisky industry by investing both time and money to become industry experts. Ensuring that we are able to provide industry-specific customised solutions“.
Arran Whisky is a dynamic distillery that follows traditional manufacturing methods. Their whisky, made from very few pure ingredients, is the rebirth of a heritage of whisky production in Arran.
